Simon with his sausages!
Morning all,
Been a very busy few days here. Yesterday I did a radio interview for Alan Sennett’s Farming Programme on BBC Radio Lincolnshire which will be on air Sunday morning.
Also found out that we are one of the regional finalists for the Countryside Alliance’s Rural Awards! Which we are very excited about and should know how we have got on just before Christmas!
The curried goats sausages are flying out, along with all the usual varieties, Simon made in excess of 250lb of sausages yesterday just for today and tomorrow. I think he will be sick of the sight of them! Been very busy in the shop this morning, with a long queue down the pavement too.
In just under a week Odile and I are off to Scotland to the Scotch Premier Christmas Carcase Show which should be good fun, we have never been before. We are traveling up on the sleeper train which we are excited about in itself!!
P.S. It was great to receive the very complementary comment from Stephen Plume of Sausagefans fame. We look forward to welcoming him here next spring on his next motorbike tour. Check out his website sausagefans.com for his review of the Young Butcher of the Year programme – it’s very good. Whilst there take some time exploring the site as well!

Congratulations Jim on winning young butcher of the year. Well deserved. Living in warwickshire we don’t get back to louth as often as i would like, but i am looking forward to trying the goat sausage when i do.
